The 2014 Winter Olympics is under the way in the city of Sochi, Russia. Most of all, the good news from the team Canada have been cheering up everyone proud of being Canadians. Canada which is located in the northern part of the earth seems to have geographical and environmental advantages which enable our athletes to do well at the Winter Olympics. Anyway so far it is so good for Canadian team!

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) should be considered as one of the most excellent organizations in the world with its ability to bring out all people of the world from many different countries together into the common ground of sports games under the Olympic flag. So the Olympics always gives more than the world festival of sports games. It has the meaning of the unity of diversity. Through watching the Olympic games, actually the people of the world see and realize that they are one and equal humanity regardless of who, what and where they are.

Whether or not you like sports games, in fact everyone and anyone is a player. Everybody is playing a game, another game, called one's own life-race. Life itself is a race. Yes, it is really an ongoing and continuing game until finishing each one's own race. Unlike a sports game, in each one's race of life, there are no designed rules and regulations of how to play. There are no coaches or referees to teach you how to improve and develop the skills and quality of life and to judge how well you have done. And in the life-race there is no a designated field and a limited time to play.

Each individual has to play their own game anyplace, at anytime and under any circumstance. Each one has to choose their own strategies and tactics on how to play and to decide when to play by themselves. And each person has to train themselves by their own schedules and recipes to become the best they can be. So in life-race everyone is a player, coach and judge at the same time.

The good news is that everyone and anyone can be the best player in their own life-game by their own standard in given circumstances. How, for each one's life-race is ultimately for their own not for others. St. Paul said, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing" (2 Timothy 4:7-8). Whenever we watch a medal ceremony in the games, we can imagine our own reward someday whatever it may be as we complete our own life-race.
