Recently I found myself repeating the unusual phrase: My Son Jesus, My Son Jesus, My Son Jesus. I was asleep at the time but subconsciously asking myself how these words made any sense when applied to me. How could Jesus be my Son.
It took me a while in my awake hours to find the answer. The only thought that made any sense was that these words were Mary鈥檚 words. In praying the Rosary we say fifty-three Hail Marys that include 鈥渁nd blessed is the fruit of Thy womb Jesus鈥. We are always asking Mary to intercede for us.
St John Paul II said, 鈥淲henever we pray the Rosary, we sit in 鈥榯he school of Mary,鈥 asking her to teach us about her son Jesus.鈥 And that is one place where Mary is telling us about 鈥渕y Son Jesus鈥. The Rosary puts us in touch with many key scripture passages about Jesus in the Mysteries that are reflected on in every Rosary.
In 鈥淟iving in God鈥檚 Rest鈥 Joyce Meyers tells us: 鈥淕od wants us to enjoy our everyday lives. John 10:10 says that Jesus died for us so we听may have life and have it abundantly. But it seems so many people who say they believe in Jesus are not really enjoying their lives.
鈥淚t鈥檚 tragic to think that Jesus paid the price for our sins, that He suffered to make that sacrifice, and yet there are Christians who are struggling just to get by and make it through each day,鈥 Meyers says.
Farha Firman says, 鈥淩est tonight. God is already working out the things that you are worried about.鈥 We need to rest in Jesus, to join God in His rest, literally. That is why God gave us the Sabbath. But it is more than just resting on Sundays.
Joyce Meyers says, 鈥淲hen we try to do everything in our own strength and leave God out of the equation, we just get worn-out and frustrated by our mistakes and failures. But when we lean on God, we actually enter into His rest and can enjoy our lives, no matter what our circumstances may be.鈥
So, when we partner with God and do things through His Grace, we enter that rest from our worries and troubles. Let God DO and let God BE. 鈥淏e still and know that I am God.鈥 (Psalm 46:10).
鈥淕od is still writing your story. Quit trying to steal the pen. Trust the author.鈥 (topradio.ro)
As a writer struggling to succeed in the publishing world, it is very important for me to trust that when I have worked, with God鈥檚 graces, to get a manuscript ready, that I trust God in the outcome. It鈥檚 not about me. It is about the Kingdom.
So it is that after more than three re-writes and years of preparation that I can enter God鈥檚 rest while the publishers decide on my latest efforts. And all the while I need to continue pursuing the best way to circulate the story God has written in his Love Letter to the World.
The peace in the work of our daily lives comes from leaving in God鈥檚 hands what we can鈥檛 do with our hands. We are co-partners with God in our work, our families and our lives. We who believe enter that rest! (Hebrews 4:3).
