ESTEVAN - The Janssen COVID-19 vaccine is now available in Saskatchewan.

This one-shot, non-mRNA vaccine will be available in Estevan on Tuesday, Nov. 23.

Dr. Stanley Enebeli, the medical health officer for the Sun Country area of the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), said the Janssen vaccine by Johnson & Johnson will be available through a walk-in clinic.

The clinic will be open from noon-6 p.m. at 1175 Nicholson Road, across the street from St. Joseph's Hospital.

"For those who want to get the Johnson & Johnson non-mRNA vaccine, it will be available. Though we'll have limited supply for that now," Enebeli said.

Those who opt for that option will be considered fully immunized two weeks after the first and only shot.
