ALIDA - The opening weekend was a huge success for the Alida Haunted House and Escape Rooms.
The spooks, goblins and friends were all kept busy Oct. 20 and 21 during the hours visitors arrived and toured through the Halls of Horror. On the first day we had 96 visitors make the journey through the house and 30 of these also made their escape from the Sherlock Adventure Room and Game Room.
The following day, we had more visitors come. We reached the 100 mark and again approximately 60 stopped at the Escape Rooms as well. A very busy and good two days.
Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and a few even decided to make the tour a second time through these corridors. They all survived their visit through the Haunted House. Come for a visit with us on Oct. 27 and 28; it will be a spook-tac-ular visit.
Also don’t forget it’s the fun fair on Oct. 29 from 1-3 p.m. Lots of different games and fun galore for the little ones of all ages to enjoy. Remember to come dressed in your Halloween costume.
Visiting with Margaret and Brian Peet over the weekend on Oct. 20 and 21 were their granddaughters Claire and Alice Mowchenko and their friend Katie Rosengren from Estevan. They were all here to help at the Alida Haunted House. Good job done girls.
Betty-Jo DeJong of Lashburn and her dad Bob Harrison of Sylvan Lake, Alta., visited in Alida, renewing their connections with many friends. They also visited with family members in Estevan. While here they also took in the Haunted House festivities.
Ashley Vercammen was at the Haunted House and while here she had her children’s books on display for everyone to see and purchase if interested. Great work Ashley. Also joining her at her display table was her cousin Mari Lemieux, who also displayed some of her children’s books. Congratulations girls; it's an awesome job.
