ESTEVAN - In what has long been an Estevan tradition, the first meeting of the year for Estevan city council began with the mayor's address.
Tony Sernick, who was elected as mayor in the November civic election, delivered the address for the first time. Sernick recapped some of the highlights that have occurred in Estevan during the past 12 months, including events, milestones and successful fundraisers, and reflected on some of the happenings within city hall and its various departments.
He also noted the election results at the civic and provincial levels, as well as the U.S. presidential election.
Sernick thanked all of the volunteers who contribute to life in the community, and said he is looking forward to 2025 and all it will bring.
