ESTEVAN - The Power Dodge Curling Centre in Estevan was the site of lots of activity Feb. 7 for a couple of district events through the Â鶹ÊÓƵ East District Athletics Association.
The Estevan Comprehensive School's tandem of Arizona Spencer and Easton Baranowski, coached by Pauline Ziehl Grimsrud, won the junior doubles competition with an 8-6 victory over the Oxbow Prairie Horizons School. ECS went 4-0 during the tournament.
A total of six teams were entered. St. Mary's School, Hillcrest School and Sacred Heart School/Ecole Sacre Coeur were among the other teams competing.
Also, a district tournament was held for conventional four-person junior boys' teams. Weyburn Comprehensive School 1 defeated Wawota 9-3 in the final. Six teams were also entered. Weyburn went 3-1 on the day, while Wawota was undefeated until the final.
