Forward Nathan Gardiner of Gainsborough had two goals in four games for Regina. He played his minor hockey in the southeast, including several seasons in Estevan.

The Telus Cup is April 21-27 in Chilliwack, B.C.

Regina qualified for westerns by winning the Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League's title, going 8-1 in the playoffs and sweeping the Moose Jaw Generals in the final.
