The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League and the Saskatchewan Cattlemen's Association have announced the Rink Burger Challenge, a tasty new promotion that will feature a popular aspect of arenas throughout the province.

The Saskatchewan Cattlemen’s Association/Saskatchewan Cattle/4H Club will receive a sponsored game night in each of the 12 rinks, beginning Jan. 4 in Humboldt.

On this sponsored game night, the home team will prepare and serve a special burger to be ranked and reviewed by a panel of judges and fans throughout the rink. Beef burgers can be provided or bought from a local cattle provider in each market, giving them a chance to showcase their product and generate further interest in their local beef.

Each SJHL team will promote each game night and competition.

Judges will include commissioner Kyle McIntyre, director of marketing Jacob Faith and Saskatchewan Cattlemen’s Association representative(s).
