ESTEVAN — Estevan Police Service members responded to several calls that resulted in arrests on Feb. 21.
Officers attended a break-and-enter at a dwelling and a report of death threats. When police arrived, three individuals fled on foot. Officers pursued, arresting two men and a woman.
A man and woman were later released with charges of break and enter and uttering death threats. The second man was found to be in possession of more than 60 grams of methamphetamine. He was lodged in cells and will be remanded for court Monday morning. He is facing charges of break and enter, uttering death threats, and trafficking a controlled substance.
The same day, police responded to a residence in the Hillcrest area for a report of an unwanted guest. A man was arrested for assault. He was lodged in cells and will be released the following morning under conditions of no contact.
Later that night, officers attended a Pleasantdale residence following a report of an intoxicated, unwanted guest. A Regina woman was arrested for unlawfully being in a dwelling. Due to her level of intoxication, she was lodged in cells for the night.
Members also responded to a report of a hit-and-run in the Pleasantdale area. A parked vehicle was struck, damaging the driver’s side mirror. The matter is under investigation.
Another hit-and-run was reported the same day but occurred Feb. 7 in a grocery store parking lot. A statement was obtained, and that matter is also under investigation.
Police received a parking complaint in the 700 block of Second Street. Officers spoke with the registered owner, and the vehicle was moved.
Officers are also investigating a report of criminal harassment.
Additionally, members completed a welfare check on a man in the Pleasantdale area. He was found to be in good condition.
