MIDALE - SaskPower crews spent most of the day Thursday responding to a power outage in Midale and surrounding areas Thursday morning.
According to a post on SaskPower's X feed Thursday morning, crews were dispatched and are determining the cause and repair time for the outage.
In an update posted just after 12 p.m., SaskPower said crews were working to repair damage to five power poles. A later update said the power was expected to be restored at 9 p.m.
SaskPower reported at 8:43 p.m. that the power was back on.
The Town of Midale's Facebook page stated there was an accident that took down power lines to the town.
"Please stay away from Main St. for the time being as there are downed live power lines," the post stated.
The town's Civic Centre was open as a warming centre and a place where people could charge their electronics during the outage.
