Update: One person taken to hospital after collision east of Weyburn

The Weyburn RCMP and emergency crews were called to a two-vehicle collision Tuesday night.

Police have been called to an two-vehicle collision east of Weyburn.

HUME - The Weyburn RCMP has released an update on the collision that occurred east of the city, near Hume, on Tuesday evening.

According to the RCMP, on Dec. 3, at approximately 7:30 p.m., the Weyburn RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 13, approximately five kilometres east of Hume.

Officers responded along with local fire and EMS. An investigation determined a truck and semi collided. The passenger of the semi reported non-life threatening injuries to police, but was taken to hospital for further assessment. The driver of the semi and the driver of the truck reported no injuries to police.

Highway 13 was closed but has since reopened. The investigation into the collision continues.
