ESTEVAN - Members of the Estevan Police Service arrested two people Monday after twice receiving calls about the pair.

Police attended to a disturbance call in the Hillside area. A man agreed to go somewhere else for the evening.

Officers returned later to a report of a man possibly assaulting a woman on the street. After some searching, police located the same couple from the previous complaint.

A 34-year-old Bienfait man was arrested for assault on a 36-year-old Moose Jaw woman. The woman was subsequently arrested for obstruction, as she had previously given a false name to police, because she had warrants for her arrest and was also on a conditional sentence order requiring her to be in Moose Jaw.

They were both lodged in cells. The man was released later with conditions and the woman was held for court.

Also on Monday, police received a report of a break and enter to a local business. The matter is still under investigation.

Officers attended to a loud music complaint. The property owner was warned under the bylaw.

Members attended to a reported theft from a yard on Tuesday. The suspect was located and items were returned to the owner. The matter is still under investigation.

Police received a report of mischief at an apartment complex in the downtown core. The matter also remains under investigation.

Members were called to a report of a missing person from Regina. The person was believed to be in Estevan. Police located the person safe with family.
