Estevan police arrest a woman for assault

ESTEVAN — Estevan Police Service members were called to a report of domestic violence on Jan. 11.

Following police intervention, a woman was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon. She was lodged in cells and subsequently released with a future court date.

EPS received a complaint regarding a man damaging property at a residence in the northwest part of the city. Members attended and mediated a resolution with both parties.

A woman was arrested for breaching the conditions of her release related to drug possession. She was lodged in EPS cells and remanded to appear in Estevan Provincial Court on Jan. 13. No further information was immediately available

A complaint of fraudulent use of a credit card was received by the police service. The matter remains under investigation.

On Jan. 12, members attended to a reported alarm at a business in the north end of the city. On arrival it was determined that an employee had set off the alarm when entering the building.

EPS also received a request to assist with a man that refused to vacate a hotel room without paying to extend their stay. Members attended and escorted the man off the property.
