RADVILLE - The Estevan Comprehensive School's junior mixed curling team travelled to Radville for the Â鶹ÊÓƵ East District Junior Curling Playdowns on Feb. 9 and 10.

Seven teams entered the competition, which utilized a modified double-knockout draw format.

ECS opened with a win over Arcola School, but then lost to Oxbow Prairie Horizons School, who went on to win the A event.

Estevan recovered to defeat Stoughton Central School and Carievale School, and advanced to the B final against Oxbow. Estevan won that game as well, so the two rivals faced each other again for the district championship, a game Estevan won. It was their final game of the season.

Team members were skip Malina Stead, third Trinity Massier, second Emma Marsch and lead Turner Petterson. Shelley Miller-Hertes was the coach and Devon Fornwald was the assistant coach.
