Update: severe thunderstorm warning for the Carlyle area

A severe thunderstorm warning has ended.

CARLYLE - Environment Canada has lifted the severe thunderstorm warning for the Carlyle region.

The warning states that at 2:25 p.m., Environment Canada meteorologists were tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel-sized hail and heavy rain.

This cluster of severe thunderstorms was located near Arcola, moving north at 30 kilometres per hour.

It was lifted at 3:44 p.m.

A severe thunderstorm watch continues for the Carlyle area. 

A heat warning is also still in effect for southeast Saskatchewan, including Estevan, Weyburn, Carlyle, Oxbow, Carnduff, Redvers, Kipling, Moosomin and other areas.
