SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN - Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch for most of southeast Saskatchewan, including the Estevan, Weyburn, Carlyle and Moosomin areas.
According to the advisory, issued in the middle of the afternoon Saturday, conditions were favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that could be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and damaging hail.
"Severe thunderstorms are expected as a system from Montana is moving over southeastern Saskatchewan and western Manitoba this evening," the advisory stated. "Thunderstorms will move into the region beginning this evening and move eastward throughout the evening into southern Manitoba. Watches will likely be expanded eastward as the thunderstorms evolve."
A total of 34 Saskatchewan RMs were affected.
