SASKATOON — The Army Cadet League of Canada – Saskatchewan Branch and the ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ East Military Museum will host an interactive educational event to commemorate the Battle of Vimy Ridge on Saturday, April 26.
The event will take place at the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans Hall, located at 359 1st Avenue North in Saskatoon, beginning at 10 a.m. sharp. Army cadets and staff from corps in Saskatoon, North Battleford, Naicam, Wadena and Humboldt will be participating.
Designed as a commemorative and educational experience, the event will feature hands-on learning, video storytelling and group activities. The aim is to offer attendees a deeper understanding of the historic First World War battle through immersive engagement.
Craig Bird, curator of the ΒιΆΉΚΣΖ΅ East Military Museum, will appear in period uniform as General Sir Arthur Currie. Serving as historical interpreter, Bird will guide participants through the story of Vimy Ridge, bringing to life the experiences of those who served.
The event is open to the public, and organizers encourage residents in Saskatoon to attend and “step into history” alongside the army cadets.
