SASKATOON - The family of Aaron Brent Gamble are still looking for answers after the 54-year-old was found deceased in the 2300 block of 17 Street West in Saskatoon on March 24, 2023.

Police have described his death as suspicious and believe foul play may be involved.

The Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN) issued a news release on March 24, 2025, to mark the anniversary of the death of Gamble, who is from Beardy's and Okemasis Cree Nation, and remind people that the "tragic loss" is still not resolved.

"I only wish for people to come forward now," said Gamble's sister Emilia Greyeyes in the release, "Someone knows something and who is involved. Aaron did not deserve what happened to him."

The FSIN noted that Greyeyes has been in constant communication with the Saskatoon Police Service and is "always hoping to hear any positive progression with their investigation into Aaron's death."

They stated the family seek closure.

"Gamble's family continues to search for answers about how the 54-year-old father, grandfather, sibling and friend; who is from Beardy's and Okemasis Cree Nation, ended up dead in Saskatoon in March [2023]. When Gamble was found, it was apparent that his body had been moved in attempts to conceal the crime," the release said.

"Today marks the two-year anniversary of Aaron's death, the family needs peace. This has continued harm for them and for Aaron's community," said FSIN 4th Vice Chief Craig McCallum.

McCallum asks anyone with information to come forward and contact the Saskatoon Police or Crime Stoppers.
