Porcupines boast about 30,000 quills with barbed ends. The quills are released when the animal is attacked. Their quills grow back like hair. Porcupines eat the bark off the branches of living trees in the winter. They are fairly common along the Saskatchewan River. Porcupines have very long claws. Design all around!
