The Snowed In Comedy Tour features Dan Quinn , Paul Myrehaug, Pete Zedlacher and Erica Sigurdson.

THE BATTLEFORDS — The Snowed in Comedy Tour is performing in three shows — North Battleford, Moose Jaw and Saskatoon — in February.

This year, four international comedians return home to create the show. Each comedian brings a unique brand of humour so there’s something for everyone. Just for Laughs winner and tour founder Dan Quinn is joined by Great Canadian Laugh Off winner Paul Myrehaug; six-time Canadian Comedian of the year nominee, Pete Zedlacher; and Erica Sigurdson, a regular on CBC’s The Debaters.

According to a press release, the independent comedy tour has become a Canadian success story, growing from a way for founder Dan Quinn to pay rent while snowboarding with buddies to become the biggest comedy tour in Canada. In a market still dominated by American acts with American TV credits, this small Canadian comedy tour has managed to succeed. And who doesn’t love an underdog story? Like the Tragically Hip, they have done it by touring and making more and more people laugh, year after year.

The tour has now performed in Australia, The United States, France and Switzerland and received numerous standing ovations.

The Snowed in Comedy Tour is in North Battleford at the Dekker Centre for the Performing Arts on Wednesday, Feb. 19. The next show is at the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre on Thursday, Feb. 20 and then in Saskatoon at the Broadway Theatre on Saturday, Feb. 22. All shows are at 7:30 p.m.
