Regina park could be getting major upgrades

REGINA - Kinsmen Park Â鶹ÊÓƵ could be getting a major renovation, pending budget approval.

, its "goal is to transform the park into an all-season destination for residents."

Included in the proposed upgrades are a spray pad, a four-season, all-gender public washroom, seating area, landscaping and a renewed and accessible playground. Additionally, there is a potential for a toboggan hill and skating area. 

Regina is "also working closely with the Regina Ski Club to upgrade the existing cross-country ski trails by installing landforms and additional plant material to help capture snow for the trails and help naturalize the space."

Upon budget approval, the park will undergo construction in the summer, with upgrades being completed in the fall.

Residents can ask questions on the city’s website about the redesign before March 2.
