SASKATCHEWAN - Yesterday saw whiteouts as snow squalls blew across the province, with travel not recommended in many areas and stranded travellers taken in by welcoming communities. Today? No weather alerts, and a pretty good-looking Highway Hotline map.
That’s not to say there won’t be some roads with snow cover or less than ideal travelling circumstances, but what a difference from yesterday.
While there are a few communities across the province expecting light snow and some clouds, no sudden whiteouts are in the forecast.
As of 9 a.m. this morning, Saskatchewan's hotspot was Loon Lake at -6 with a windchill of -10. Hudson Bay was the coldest at -18.4, with a windchill of -25.
