Live music at Candle Lake Provincial Park Aug. 3

Old-fashioned fun will be served up at Cannington Manor Provincial Historic Park during the Cannington Fair Aug. 4.

REGINA — Visitors can enjoy an entire summer of camping, glamping, hiking and fun at the lake in Saskatchewan Provincial Parks. There are also exciting events and programming to fill visitors' days with laughter and joy in the great outdoors.

Take a moment to create new memories and experience nature to the fullest. Here are a few special events occurring over the next two weeks; all are free with a valid Park Entry Permit:    

Gator's Waterfest
Aug. 3, Candle Lake Provincial Park
2 to 6 p.m.

Gator's Waterfest, hosted by Gator's Grub, is back at Fisher Creek in Candle Lake Provincial Park on the August long weekend. Enjoy an afternoon of live music from The Project, Mason Lewis, Nic Aiken and Aiden Edwards.

Cannington Fair
Aug. 4, Cannington Manor Provincial Historic Park
Noon to 4 p.m.

Step back in time and let history come to life at this not-to-be-missed event. Enjoy afternoon tea and treats, special animal guests, classic picnic games like the egg and spoon race and taste hand-churned ice cream. Make a rope and don't forget to snap a selfie on our well stocked photo station. 

UPCOMING EVENTS

Wind and Waves Festival
Aug. 10, Rowan's Ravine Provincial Park
2 to 9 p.m.

Take part in a jam-packed day of fun and excitement. Spend the afternoon enjoying crafts and a cool-down station with foam, water misters and bubbles. Grab a hot dog at the S.T.A.R.S. Air Ambulance fundraiser, then join in the Great Grounded Parachute Race and sand sculpting activities. Unleash your creativity and soak up the sun in a competitive sand sculpting competition, then finish off the day with a relaxing paddle along the shores of Last Mountain Lake.

Summer Cinema
Aug. 10, Narrow Hills Provincial Park
9:45 to 11:30 p.m.

Don't miss Sask Parks Summer Cinema at Narrow Hills Provincial Park to watch Garfield under the stars on the big screen. Join us before the show for hands-on activities with our park interpreters. Visitors are encouraged to dress for the weather and remember to bring a blanket and lawn chair.

Summer Cinema
Aug. 17, Duck Mountain Provincial Park
9:15 to 11:30 p.m.

Don't miss Sask Parks Summer Cinema at Duck Mountain Provincial Park to watch The Lorax under the stars on the big screen. Join us before the show for hands-on activities with our park interpreters. Visitors are encouraged to dress for the weather and remember to bring a blanket and lawn chair.
