Update: Dangerous person alert, 10 dead, 15 wounded

JAMES SMITH CREE NATION — Update: RCMP are now saying there are 10 people dead in 13 locations and 15 people taken to hospital. There may be more people who took themselves to hospital. The alert has been expanded across the prairie provinces. They may have been seen last in Regina.

One of the dead was in Weldon and nine were on James Smith Cree Nation.

Police believe some of the attacks were targeted and some were random.

Police do not know if they have changed vehicles. Police continue to urge the public to be on the lookout and call 911 if the suspects are seen but do not approach them.

Update: RCMP has received a report that suspects might have been seen driving in the Arcola Avenue Area in Regina around 11:45 a.m.

Update: RCMP have updated their Dangerous Person Alert to indicate there have been multiple victim at multiple locations, including James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon. Early indications may be that victims are attacked randomly.

Original post: A Dangerous Person Alert issued by the Melfort RCMP for multiple stabbings on James Smith Cree Nation has been expanded province wide.

Suspects are Damien Sanderson and Myles Sanderson. Damien Sanderson is five foot seven and 155 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Myles Sanderson is six foot one and 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

If in the area, seek immediate shelter/shelter in place. Do not leave a secure location. Use caution allowing others into your residence. Do not approach suspicious persons. Do not pick up hitch hikers. Report suspicious persons, emergencies or info to 911. Do not disclose police locations.
