It is with sadness that the family of Kenneth Edward Jones announces his passing on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the age of 80 years. Ken was predeceased by his mother Effie (2008), father Thomas Gronwy (2005), his sister Heather (1986), second wife Linda (1993), and third wife Kathy (2006).
Ken is lovingly cherished by his sisters Gloria Jones and Eileen Tunall, and his nieces and nephews Gayle, Darryl, Brady, Margo, and Adrianne. Also left to mourn his passing are numerous loved ones, RCMP comrades, and the communities he resided in over his lifetime.
Ken was born the second child of TG and Effie and spent his childhood on the family farm outside of Amulet, SK. Ken graduated from Pangman High School in 1962. He joined the RCMP in 1964 and served in various communities in British Columbia before retiring as a Corporal in 1976. Upon moving back to Pangman, he worked alongside his father at Jones Implements and eventually took over the business. He was active in the community and served as Mayor in the late '80s.
Ken shifted gears in the '90s and sold Jones Implements. Always up for an adventure, he moved to Arizona and opened a Blimpie Sub restaurant. He spent many happy years in Phoenix, eventually moving back to Saskatchewan to be closer to family.
Dogs also had a special place in Ken's life, from his trained RCMP service dogs, Shadrach and Prax, to his beloved lap dogs, Peaches and Kosmo.
