Neil Stimpson: July 7, 1937 - January 2, 2025.
Neil Stimpson passed away at 87 years of age in Calgary, AB, on January 2, 2025. He was born in Wallsend, England on July 7, 1937, to Jane Elizabeth and William Soulsby Stimpson.
After school in Wallsend, Neil attended Durham University (Newcastle), became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, and honed his skills in England and Scotland before moving to Canada with his wife Norma (nee Osborne) and his two children, Geoffrey and Pamela. He worked as a general practitioner and surgeon in Kamsack from 1971 until his retirement in 1997.
Neil and Norma then enjoyed over 20 years together in Canmore creating happy memories in the Rocky Mountains before moving to Calgary.
Neil is survived by Norma, his loving wife of 62 years, his son Geoffrey, and daughter Pamela and their families.
