Hiebert - Katherine Ellen (McLean) Hiebert

It is with broken hearts the family announces the sudden passing of Kathy Heibert . Kathy spent her life caring for others. After the passing of her dad, she helped her mom raise the other siblings at the age of 14 years old. Kathy started her career after graduating from Vanier Collegiate in Moose Jaw. At the age of 17 she was a caregiver for a family's elderly parent. Later working in nursing homes and hospital as a nursing aid and first responder. Kathy loved her job, it broke her heart when she was unable to continue her career, ending in Davidson. Kathy had a huge heart taking her niece and nephews to spend time in Davidson. Later in years she took the second generation of niece and nephew. Kathy loved Christmas, she was as excited as the kids, always preparing early. She loved to laugh, often calling her witty sister a "brat". Kathy was predeceased by her parents Don McLean (1970), Charlotte McLean Wiome (2015), Stepfather George Wiome (2005), husband Robert "Bob" Hiebert (2004), Granddaughter Haylin Tichit November 19, 2008. 

Kathy is survived by her children Wayne Hiebert of Moose Jaw, Mandy (James) Tichit of Davidson. Grandchildren Drayson, fiancé (Rhian), Harlee and Daxton Tichit. Sisters Margie (Murray) Spearman, Donna (Rob) Koch. Godson, Kevin Koch and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. One Aunt Carroll Willhoft. We Love you, Kathy. The Funeral Service will be held November 25, 2024. Davidson United Church 315 Lincoln Street, 1:00PM. Family burial at a later date in Moose Jaw. Donations in Kathy's name may go to Davidson Health Trust Fund (cheques payable to Town of Davidson) or Diabetes Canada.
