Unity slated for planned power outages Apr.30 & May 1

Unity residents will experience more power outages only this time they are scheduled to accommodate crews working on power pole replacement.

UNITY - SaskPower has provided notification of planned power outages for Unity.

April 30, a planned outage is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.that will affect Unity customers on the 100 blk of 2nd Ave. E.; 3rd Ave. E.; 4th Ave. E and the 100-200 blk of 5th Ave. E.; 6th Ave E.; and 100-500 blk of Main Street.  Outages will take place as work is being completed and customers will not experience outages for the full duration.

Another planned outage is scheduled on May 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. affecting Unity customers north of 5th Ave. E and East of Main Street.

SaskPower spokesperson, Joel Cherry, said these planned outages are in effect as crews are changing out some power poles.
