Unity RCMP investigating a complaint of sexual interference

The Unity RCMP Detachment provides their weekly policing report for the period Dec. 21 to Jan. 3

UNITY REPORT

RCMP received a report of a deceased deer on the road. Members attended and removed the animal.

Police received a report of a damaged window at a business. Reported for insurance purposes. Insufficient evidence to proceed.

Members received a request from the Division Emergency Operations Centre to conduct a mandatory travel COVID-19 quarantine compliance check on an individual in the area.

RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 14 near Unity. There were no injuries. A traffic ticket was issued to one vehicle driver.

Unity RCMP Detachment received two requests from Edmonton Police Service to attempt to locate a stolen vehicle. Members patrolled the area, but the vehicle was not located.

Police received a report of a break and enter a residence garage in Unity. Members patrolled but could not locate the subject of complaint.

Members are investigating a break and enter at Denzil Arena.

RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision in Unity. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance purposes.

CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction. Reported for information purposes.

Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the subject of complaint to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment.

Members attended a fire at Northwest Terminal. The fire was extinguished by Unity Fire Department and was not suspicious in nature.

RCMP are investigating a complaint of fraud.

Members conducted a well-being check at the request of a family member.

Police assisted Unity Health Centre with a patient.

RCMP received a complaint of assault. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a complaint of fraud but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

There was also one false alarm and one traffic complaint.

WILKIE REPORT

RCMP received a complaint of an individual smoking in the Wilkie Post Office and urinating on the floor in the entrance during off hours. There are no suspects at this time.

Members assisted Child and Family Services with a child welfare concern.

Police are investigating a report of harassing communications.

RCMP received a report of three stray dogs in Wilkie. Members gave the complainant contact information for animal rescue as the dogs were not a safety concern.

Police received a Child Welfare Act complaint. Members notified Child and Family Services.

Members acted as mediators between two adults.

RCMP received a report of an individual driving a vehicle colliding with several parked vehicles. This matter is still under investigation.

Members executed an arrest warrant to an individual in the area at the request of Saskatoon Police Service.

Police acted as mediators in a child custody dispute.

Members conducted a well-being check at the request of a family member.

RCMP received a complaint of a missing personal document. Insufficient evidence to proceed.

Police received a complaint of defamatory libel. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a report of an abandoned vehicle. Members contacted the vehicle owner who agreed to move the vehicle.

Members received a report of a vehicle collision with a horse. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance purposes.

Police received a report of a single vehicle collision near Wilkie. The vehicle driver sustained minor injuries. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a complaint of assault with a weapon. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a report of a two-vehicle collision in Wilkie. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance purposes.

Members are investigating a complaint of fraud.

There were also two false 911 calls.

MACKLIN REPORT

RCMP received a complaint of theft but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the complainant and subject of complaint.

Members are investigating a complaint of sexual interference.

RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision at Macklin Lake Regional Park. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a complaint of an individual throwing garbage in a residence yard. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning.

Police received a report of a vehicle collision with a deer. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance purposes.

Members conducted a well-being check at the request of a family friend.

RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter a residence. This matter is still under investigation.

Police are investigating a complaint of theft.

There were also two traffic complaints.
