UNITY - The Unity RCMP would like to thank the public for the information that came in which lead to the arrest of 34-year-old Randy Wesley Keeton of Scott, Saskatchewan. The Unity RCMP executed a Feeney Warrant to locate and Keeton in his residence the evening of Sunday June 11th, 2023. Keeton was located hiding in the attic of his residence. Keeton was also charged with Resist Arrest in relation to this arrest. Keeton had been on warrants since March 24, 2023 when he was charged with a Robbery in the Town of Wilkie. Keeton was on a Conditional Sentence Order at the time of this offense.
Unity Report
RCMP received a complaint of theft. This matter is still under investigation.
CN Police reported two railway crossing malfunctions in Unity this week. Both incidents were reported for information purposes.
Police received a complaint of uttering threats but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
A 40-year-old male from Unity was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle during a traffic stop.
A 22-year-old male from Unity was charged with assault after Members received a complaint of assault.
RCMP received a report of a child wandering on the street in Unity. The child was located by their parents.
Police received a report of a fire near Denzil. The fire was a controlled burn and Members did not attend.
Members are investigating a complaint of assault.
RCMP received a report of a missing person. The individual was located.
Police received a report of an individual loitering near a business. Members located the individual who was an employee of the business.
A 34-year-old male was charged with resist peace officer when Members executed a warrant for his arrest at a residence in the Town of Scott. The wanted male, Randy Keeton was wanted for robbery and breach of his conditional sentence order, was found hiding in the attic of his residence in the insulation.
There was also one traffic complaint.
Wilkie Report
RCMP received a complaint of disturbing the peace. Reported for information purposes.
Members are investigating a complaint of theft.
Police received a complaint of an unwanted individual at a residence. This matter is still under investigation.
Members acted as mediators in a neighbor dispute.
RCMP received a report of a fire near Highway 14 west of Wilkie. Wilkie Fire Department attended and extinguished the fire which was not suspicious in nature.
Members received a request from Emergency Medical Services to assist with a patient.
Police conducted a child welfare check at the request of a concerned citizen.
RCMP received a complaint of criminal harassment but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Members received a complaint of harassing communications but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
There were also four traffic complaints and one false 911 call.
Macklin Report
RCMP received a complaint of theft but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Members conducted a child welfare check at the request of a concerned citizen.
An individual reported losing their Possession and Acquisition Licence card.
Two youths from Macklin were charged with break and enter, theft under $5000 and mischief after Members received a complaint of a break and enter at a business in Macklin.
Police received two reports of theft of fuel from a local gas station. Members contacted both registered owners who paid for the fuel. No charges were laid.
RCMP received a report of a hit and run causing damage to a vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.
There was also one false alarm.
