LUSELAND – The Luseland Arts Council has invited Rory Gardiner to the community as part of the Stars for Saskatchewan Concert series.
Rory Gardiner is a CCMA nominated country artist, who has shared the stage with many great country artists, including Keith Urban.
Gardiner has also been known to do stand-up comedy. His videos on TikTok gained over 50 million views along with his YouTube sketches being featured on Funny or Die and America’s Funniest Videos.
On Sept. 21, 2018, Gardiner and his family were warned of a tornado about to sweep through their Ottawa neighbourhood. Thinking the warnings were wrong, the family continued to enjoy their pizza until the neighbour’s pool landed in their yard.
Once the dust settled around his wind-blown home, Gardiner created TikTok videos about the situation, trying to help friends and family with the stress of the situation. When the post went viral, he was asked to do a TEDx talk in Colorado, on using humour as a coping mechanism.
Discovering the impact he can have on people through laughter, Gardiner combines his stand-up comedy with music while connecting with audiences from across North America.
Gardiner will be in Luseland on Feb. 14 with the show starting at 8 p.m. and advance tickets are available at the Luseland Credit Union.
