Kerrobert and Wilkie represented at senior men's provincial curling

Kerrobert's Brad Heidt and Wilkie's Lloyd Fell are skipping teams at the Saskatchewan provincial senior men's curling championships in Aberdeen March 2-6

KERROBERT — Longtime curling competitors, Brad Heidt and Lloyd Fell, both have teams competing at senior men’s provincial curling championships in Aberdeen, vying for the coveted green jacket.

Team Fell consists of skip Lloyd Fell of Wilkie, Doug Flasch, Brad Wuitchik and Todd Miller also from Wilkie. Fell has played competitively for more than two decades competing at both the Saskatchewan men’s curling provincial tankard and the Saskatchewan senior men’s provincial championships. Although his team lineups have changed over the years, the competitive drive of Fell remains.

Team Heidt consists of skip Brad Heidt of Kerrobert, Mark Lang, Glen Heitt and Dan Ormsby. Heidt is well known in Saskatchewan as his competitive curling career has spanned more than 40 years. He earned the Team Saskatchewan colours in 1982 representing the province at the Brier. Heidt returned to the Brier in 1995 losing in the final to Manitoba’s Kerry Burtnyk. He also is a mixed provincial champion and a previous senior champion. Ormsby was with Heidt in their run as Team Saskatchewan at the 1995 Brier. His senior provincial championship was won with the same lineup.
