Holiday cheer: just what the doctor ordered

Unity health care employees decks out the hospital halls for the holidays.

UNITY – Staff at the Unity Health Centre have been busier than Santa’s elves, decorating the doors to their respective departments.

The annual tradition started in 2018, however the festivities had to stop during the pandemic. It was revived once again in 2022, bringing staff together to have some fun at work.

Many visitors to the facility enjoy seeing the creative minds of the community’s health care providers. This year, the friendly competition was organized by Brianna Bosch, who works in the lab department.

“It’s just a fun way to bring some smiles to faces. The hospital is not really where anyone wants to be during the holiday season,” said Bosch.

Each department creates their own door, using new and used items either from the office or from home. In the past, some departments have even included the hallway surrounding their door as part of their efforts to snag the top prize.

Donations from throughout the community will be part of the prize package to the winners, who will be announced on Dec. 20.
