UNITY — Residents of Eighth Avenue Estates in Unity held their annual Christmas supper Dec. 8. Rather than proceed with their traditional gift exchange, the group decided instead to use the money that would have been spent to donate to a community charity.
The adult living facility was happy to present Unity Food Bank representative, Tomi Watt, a gift of $270.
Actions such as these are representative of continued actions by all generations in Unity towards paying it forward. The Unity Food Bank maintains that they are grateful for the continued generosity of Unity’s residents in supporting their organization at Christmas and throughout the year.
