Update: Police investigate fatal collision in Saskatoon

Lifesaving measures were attempted by police and paramedics but the 36-year-old man succumbed to his injuries.

SASKATOON - Update, Jan. 13, 9:08 a.m.: The Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) Collision Analyst Unit is investigating a fatal collision that occurred Sunday morning.

At approximately 4:30 a.m., Jan. 12, SPS was dispatched to a collision at Preston Avenue Â鶹ÊÓƵ and Stonebridge Common. Upon arrival, Police observed a vehicle that had collided with a brick wall. Inside, officers located an injured male, the single lone occupant of the vehicle. Lifesaving measures were attempted by police and paramedics but the 36-year-old man succumbed to his injuries.

The SPS’s Collision Analyst Unit is continuing their investigation.

Original post, Jan. 12, 5:29 a.m.: The Saskatoon Police Service including the Collison Analyst Unit are on the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision at Preston Avenue and Stonebridge Common on Jan. 12 at 4:30 a.m. Members of the public are being asked to find alternate routes while the investigation is being conducted.
