Suspect found with two knives following Saskatoon incident

SASATOON - Saskatoon Police Service are reporting an 18-year-old man was arrested following a reported theft in Saskatoon. 

At approximately 11:50 p.m., Feb. 10, members on patrol responded to a theft in progress at a liquor store in the 900 block of Central Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers located a male suspect who had been detained by employees.

It was reported to police that two male suspects entered the store and stole liquor prior to attempting to flee.

One suspect was able to flee, while the second was stopped by employees.

Officers located two knives concealed in his clothing. He was also believed to be under the influence of an intoxicant.

An 18-year-old man is facing four weapons-related offences and breach of conditions (x2).
