SASKATOON - A Saskatoon police sergeant has been suspended after a preliminary investigation by the force's professional standards division.
Police say certain aspects of the incident are also being investigated by the province's police watchdog, without specifying. Police did not give any reason for the suspension.
In a separate incident in January, another Saskatoon police officer was suspended as part of an unrelated investigation.
