SASKATOON - A man is facing more than 30 charges after multiple break and enter and theft incidents early Sunday morning in Saskatoon.
At approximately 2:30 a.m., Jan. 19, patrol officers responded to an apartment building in the 2000 block of Main Street. The caller reported having seen an individual breaking into mailboxes and collecting the mail. When police entered the building, the suspect was attempting to leave but was arrested without incident. He was found to be in possession of break and enter tools. Two bags full of suspected stolen mail were located nearby. The mail appeared to be from three different apartment buildings in the 2000, 1600 and 1900 blocks of Main Street.
A 56-year-old man is charged with possession of stolen identity documents (x27), possession of break and enter tools, and break and enter to commit a crime (x3).
