Methamphetamine seized following weapons complaint

SASKATOON - A man was arrested last night following a weapons call in Saskatoon.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., Feb. 6, patrol officers were dispatched to Hilliard Street West and Ste Cecilia Avenue for a weapons call.

The complainant told police that a man was walking in the area, shouting and waving a knife.

Upon police arrival, the suspect was located standing in the intersection holding a knife and a multi-tool. He was taken into custody without incident and believed to be under the influence of an intoxicant. Officers located methamphetamine on his person.

The 51-year-old man is charged with possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of methamphetamine, and breach of conditions (x2).
