Suspect allegedly got into vehicle and demanded money

PRINCE ALBERT - A woman is facing charges after the Prince Albert Police Service responded to a weapons complaint Saturday night.

On March 29 at approximately 10:30 p.m., police were called to a business in the 800 block of 5th Street East for a weapons call.

Initial information stated a female got into the complainant's car and threatened them with a knife.

Police arrived on the scene and located the victim physically unharmed.

Through their investigation, officers learned the female suspect got into the passenger seat of the vehicle and demanded money; the suspect was asked to leave the vehicle but instead allegedly brandished multiple knives.

Multiple witnesses intervened and a short physical altercation ensued before the suspect fled the scene on foot.

Shortly after, officers located the suspect in the 800 block of 4th Street East where she was arrested without further incident.

As a result, the 46-year-old woman has been charged with attempted robbery, assault with a weapon, and breaching an undertaking.
