Police ask for public's help following stabbing in Prince Albert

The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival; however, officers located a 27-year-old woman suffering from injuries consistent with a stabbing.

PRINCE ALBERT - The Prince Albert Police Service is investigating following a stabbing Monday morning in Prince Albert.

On Dec. 16 at approximately 7:10 a.m. police were called to the 2900 block of 5A Avenue East for a report of an injured person.

Parkland Ambulance was already on scene and advised police a female had been stabbed.

The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival; however, officers located a 27-year-old woman suffering from injuries consistent with a stabbing.

The woman was treated by paramedics and transported to hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

A knife was also located at the scene.

Officers learned there had been a physical altercation between the suspect and victim outside the residence where it is believed the stabbing occurred.

The suspect is described as female, wearing a blue and yellow jacket, with her hair in a bun.

Police are continuing to investigate.
