BTEC Pitches In — The City may have held their city-wide cleanup, but there is still plenty of litter out there. Helping to collect that trash Wednesday were participants from Battlefords Trade and Education Centre. They partnered with the City of North Battleford to pick up trash in the vicinity of McDonald’s on Railway Avenue that morning, including around the railway tracks. They plan to do more litter pickups throughout the year. According to Shelley Mandin, direct support supervisor at BTEC, this is a way for BTEC participants to show what they are able to do, as well as give back to the community. Photos by John Cairns
