ZAYAC (nee: Bellamy) : It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce that Barbara passed away peacefully on June 13, 2012 with her family at her side, at Battlefords Union Hospital, after a 3 year battle with colon cancer.

ZAYAC (nee: Bellamy) : It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce that Barbara passed away peacefully on June 13, 2012 with her family at her side, at Battlefords Union Hospital, after a 3 year battle with colon cancer. Barbara was the second child born to Rilett & Esther Bellamy on March 15, 1940 at Belbutte, SK. Barbara left school after completing Grade 8 and entered the work force and earned a living as a waitress in Unity, SK and later in North Battleford, SK. On July 12, 1958 she married Joe Zayac (53 years) and they lived & farmed the Zayac homestead at Hatherleigh, SK until their retirement in 1997 when they moved to North Battleford, SK. Left to cherish Barbara's memory: her loving daughter, Debbie (Gary) Sheppard: grandson: Chris (Kendra) Sheppard; sisters: Cary Walker (Gordon Irwin), Betty-Anne Stubbins (John Brandel) and LeeAnne Bellamy (Bob St. Amour); brother-in-law: Morris (Kay) Zayac; sister-in-law: Kay Woytowich; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Barbara was predeceased by: her husband, Joe Zayac (Feb. 17, 2012); her parents: Rilett and Esther Bellamy; her brothers: Johnnie & Stanley Bellamy; in-laws: Peter & Anna Zayac; step-father-in-law: Mike Spac; uncle, Fred Zayac; brothers-in-law: Paul Woytowich, Elmer Buck & Bob Walker; nephew: Mark Buck; niece: Bev Buck; great-nephew: Rylin Buck. The Funeral Service was held Monday, June 18, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from Third Avenue United Church, North Battleford, SK with Rev. Frances Patterson officiating. The Eulogy given by Betty-Anne Stubbins and Tribute to Mom read by Gisele Casavant. Music Ministry was Organist, Jaya Hoy; Soloist, Robert MacKay ~"Amazing Grace"; Hymn Selections ~ "How Great Thou Art" and "In The Garden"; the Processional ~ "Candle In The Wind" and Recessional ~ "The Rose". The Honourary Pallbearers were" All Who Know and Loved Her" and the Pallbearers were Chris Sheppard, Laverne Buck, Dennis Buck, Greg Buck, Raymond Oleshko and Doug Bennett. Memorials in Barbara's memory are requested to Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation Inc, Box 1358, North Battleford, SK S9A 3L8 (designated to The Palliative Care Unit). Interment took place at City Cemetery, North Battleford, SK. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Battlefords Funeral Service. 446-4200 Card Of Thanks The family wishes to thank Scott Parker, Palliative Care Co-Ordinator and the wonderful staff at the Palliative Care Unit at BUH. You were very kind & caring to us and thank you so much for making Mom's last days so comfortable. Many thanks to Shelley at C.O.P.S. for your support and assistance to mom over the years, Home Care & the nursing staff who attended to mom at her home, she was grateful & appreciative of your services. Technicians, nursing staff and Emergency Room Staff at Battlefords Union Hospital, Dr. Yadav and staff at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre. For all of the condolences, food, flowers, phone calls, and support from family and friends. Special thanks to Rev. Patterson for the wonderful service, Organist ~ Jaya Hoy, Bob Mackay for your wonderful rendition of "Amazing Grace", Nicole & Lance Weum of Second 2 None Catering for the lovely lunch, and last but not least to Bob Mackay and staff of the Battleford Funeral Service. ____________________________________________________
