WOUTERS: Eva-Mae Wouters (nee Kempthorne) November 4, 1944 - September 15, 2013 It is with great sadness that we bid farewell to our beautiful and wonderful Eva who passed away peacefully surrounded with the love and thoughts of her family. She was predeceased by her parents Wilf and Eva Kempthorne, her younger sister Susan Moreside, infant sister Bonnie-Jean and her father-in-law Abe Wouters. Eva will be forever remembered and loved by her husband of 48 years, Glenn and their children Brad (Marianne) Wouters and their children Matviy, Norah and Elliot; Scott (Janice) Wouters and their children Ally and Chase, and Tonya (Corby) Lehman and their children Sierah, Marcus and Kade. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Velma Wouters, brother Gordon (Dorothy) Kempthorne, brother- in - laws Kel Moreside, Marvin (Gail) Wouters, Garry (Sandra) Wouters, Wayne Wouters and Valerie Wouters, numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and great friends. Eva's life was filled with love and happiness. She had a distinguished career as an R.P.N. and Director in long-term care, however, her greatest joy was being with her husband, children and grandchildren. She took great pride in their achievements and showered them with her deep love and affection. One of her favourite things was celebrating special occasions - birthdays, anniversary and holidays with family and friends. It was at these occasions that we all enjoyed visiting around the kitchen counter while she prepared her special meals. Eva's last message for her children and grandchildren were to stay in touch and love one another. Of all events happening in her life she especially enjoyed travelling the world with Glenn and enjoying tropical vacations with their friends. They had a wonderful life together and enjoyed their retirement in their piece of "Heaven at the Lake". In lieu of flowers we ask for donations to be made to BUH Foundation or Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation at One of Eva's last request was that everyone consider donating blood and she is thankful to those who gave her the gift of life through their donations. Card of Thanks The family would like to thank all those who brought food, offered support, and to those who planned our celebration meal.. A special thank-you to those special people who she called her friends. Thank-you to the doctors and staff who treated her for her multiple myeloma. A special thanks to Dr. Reece at Princess Margaret hospital in Toronto and to Dr. LaCock here in North Battleford. As a family we say thank-you to the palliative care staff at Battlefords Union Hospital for your compassion and superb care. Thank-you to the ladies from C.O.P.S. for their kindness over the past three years. Thank-you to Eternal Memories, Reverend Patterson and the Third Avenue United Church for handling the arrangement and for the beautiful celebration of Eva's life. Thank-you to the UCW for planning the luncheon. Thank-you to everyone who shared their stories about our mom. The world is a better place because of you mom.
