WILKINSON - Bessie Christina Wilkinson passed away at the Riverside Health Complex on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the age of 95 years. Bessie will be sadly missed by one son, Dale (Charlotte) Wilkinson of Lloydminster, two daughters, Lois (Pat) Cody of Prince Albert and Sheryl Edwards of Watrous; eight grand-children: Sheila (Lorne) Rice; Barry (Danica) Cody; Kim Cody; Blake (Chantal) Edwards; Shelley Edwards; Cory (Lynnette) Edwards; Scott (Sherry) Wilkinson and Kirk (Tary) Wilkinson; and fifteen great grandchildren: Blaire and Kolby Rice; Allysha, Ariel and Carter Cody; Kelsey and Kirsten Wilkinson; Matthew, Ryan and Taylor Wilkinson; Aiden, Logan and Sara Edwards; Madison and Janaya. Bessie was predeceased by her husband Clair and son-in-law Norris. The Memorial Service for Bessie was conducted from Mervin United Church on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Canon Don Skinner and Reverend Kun Kim officiating. The eulogy was given by Kim Cody and Cory Edwards. A poem was read by Scott Wilkinson. The scripture readings were given by Shelley Edwards and Sheila Rice. The solo "Hallelujah" was performed by Bernice Edwards. The hymns sung were "Here I Am Lord" and "Morning Has Broken" and were accompanied by organist Bev Meikle. A Duet "On Eagle Wings" was performed by Reverend Canon Don Skinner and Reverend Kun Kim. The special friends were Gwen Furniss, Marjorie Spencer, Cora McNinch, Germaine Bellanger, June Macnab, Jane Cormack and Pat Bingham. The urn bearer was Dale Wilkinson. Interment was held in the Mervin Cemetery. The reception was held in Hope Hall in Mervin, Saskatchewan. Donations in memory of Bessie may be made to the Riverside Health Complex Patient Comfort Fund or the Mervin United Church McCaw Funeral Service Ltd. Of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks Special thanks to Bev Meikle and the Choir, Bernice Edwards, Reverend Canon Don Skinner and Reverend Kun Kim for the wonderful music during the service. Music was a large part of Mom's life and the music and singing was a beautiful tribute to her life. Also a very special thank you to the McCaw Family for their professional assistance. We also thank the Church Board for serving lunch after the funeral and all who contributed food to the family, donations to charities and cards of sympathy.
