Nellie is predeceased by her husband, John Tomanek: son, Wally Tomanek; parents, Thomas and Magda Shumlich; 6 brothers and 1 sister; sister-in-law, Kay Shumlich. Vigil of Prayer was held Sunday, February 24, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. with Jean Pawlus, Presider; Liturgy Of The Word - Marie Nelson and Prayer Of The Faithful - Jennifer Waterman. Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, February 25, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Gerard Legaspi, Celebrant; both Services from Notre Dame De Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, North Battleford, SK. The Cross Bearer - Michelle Nelson; Eulogy - Shauna McMartin & Leanne Tomanek. Liturgy Of The Word - Nicole Hartman & Marie Nelson; Prayer Of The Faithful - Michelle Nelson. Liturgy of the Eucharist: Offertory Gifts presented by Taylor Halbauer, Trenton & Caden Van Bavel. Music Ministry was by Lisa Hornung and Jaki Esquirol. An Honour Guard and Tribute - Notre Dame Catholic Women's League. The Pallbearers were David Halbauer, Bohdan Tomanek, Bruce Halbauer, Victor Tomanek, Bradley Nelson and Ron Tomanek. Donations in Nellie's Memory can be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Interment took place at Glass Lake Cemetery, Whitkow District, SK.
