THOM: Minard Raymond Thom passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the age of 93 years. Minard will be sadly missed by his wife of 58 years, Georgette; children: Maurice (LeAnn) Thom, Denise (Jerry) McCaffrey and Robert Thom; grandchildren: Blair (Sandra), Bradley and Megan McCaffrey, Kyle and Colton Thom; great grandchildren: Saige and Adison McCaffrey as well as numerous other relatives. The prayer service was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. with Deacon Lynn Pion officiating. The funeral service was conducted from the Christ The King Roman Catholic Church, Edam, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. with Father Phinh Do officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta. The family wishes to thank Dr. Lowton and the 3rd floor nursing staff of the Lloydminster Hospital for their compassionate care; the clergy for their words of comfort; the McCaw staff for their care and professionalism; and the many friends who supported and comforted us through this difficult time with their acts of kindness, thoughts and prayers, visits, gifts of food, flowers, cards and the sharing of precious memories of someone who will live in our hearts forever.
