Lorne is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Helen ; his loving sons, daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Craig , Canning, Nova Scotia & his son Cody, Neil (Colleen), Pike Lake, SK & their daughter Chloe, Lorna (Kenny) Tyshynski, Lloydminster, SK & their sons: Kyle and Nathan (Chelsey): their daughters: Lily & Scarlett; one sister, Olive Horner, Crescent City, Florida, USA. Lorne was predeceased by his parents Hector and Hilda Stewart; brother, Earl Stewart; sisters: June Toner and Myrna Munroe; brother-in-law, Jerry Toner. Service Of Celebration and Thanksgiving was held Friday, May 17, 2013 ~ 2:00 p.m. at Battleford United Church, Battleford, SK with Rev. Nora Borgeson, officiating. Shared Memories were given by Margaret Joan Brick and Music Ministry was Organist ~ M. Junice Headley; Battleford United Church Choir & Hymn Selections: "Bringing In The Sheaves", "Amazing Grace" & "23rd Psalm" with Special Music by Matthew Kopp. The Honourary Pallbearers were "All Who Shared His Life" and Urn Bearers were Kyle Tyshynski, Jessica Phelps & Chloe Stewart. Memorials are requested to River Heights Lodge, 2001-99th St. North Battleford, SK S9A 0S3. Interment will take place at a later date.
