SRAYKO, Clara Doris : In Loving Memory of Clara Doris Srayko ~ June 15, 1928, Lashburn, SK to March 23, 2013, North Battleford, SK. Doris will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by: her son James (Helen) Srayko of Denholm, SK and their children: John, Jennifer and Jamie (Kevin) Burwell; daughter, Debra Srayko (Murray Major) of Saskatoon, SK and her children: Sarah and Stephen; her special friend Vern Thompson of North Battleford, SK; brother, Bill (Lorna) Stoddart of Red Deer, AB; sister-in-law, Sonia (Morris) Prescesky of Mayfair, SK; numerous nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by her husband, Henry Srayko in 2004; her parents, Jim and Clara Stoddart; sister-in-law, Jean (John) Fosti. Doris attended Normal School (Teacher's College) and taught in several rural school districts until her marriage to Henry in 1953. After marriage they spent the next 50 years farming in the Denholm district. After Henry's passing, Doris moved to North Battleford where she continued to enjoy travelling, dancing and playing cards. Her love of her family will be cherished by them forever. The family expresses special thanks to the staff at Battlefords Union Hospital Palliative Care Unit. The Funeral Service was held on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. from Third Avenue United Church with Reverend Frances Patterson officiating. Memorial Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Battlefords Union Hospital Palliative Care or to a Charity of the Donor's Choice.
