SEMENIUK, HELEN: In loving memory of Helen Semeniuk who was born February 18, 1945 at Lorenzo, SK. She passed away peacefully on December 11, 2012 in the Battlefords Union Hospital at the age of 67 years.

SEMENIUK, HELEN: In loving memory of Helen Semeniuk who was born February 18, 1945 at Lorenzo, SK. She passed away peacefully on December 11, 2012 in the Battlefords Union Hospital at the age of 67 years. Helen is survived by her loving family: husband of 48 years, Dick Semeniuk, North Battleford, SK; son, Bernie (Nadine) Semeniuk and daughter, Chloe; son, Bob (Dawn) Semeniuk and children, Conner & Shyan; daughter, Teresa (Michael) Toews and children, Carson, Bryan, Amber & Danielle; sister, Mabel (Morris) Siembab; brother, Frank (Tina) Prystupa; sister, Karen Prystupa (Deryl Rue); numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Fred & Annie Prystupa; sister, Mary Peterson and brother-in-law, Matt Peterson. Helen attended Comerford School from grades 1-8, Alticane School for grade 9 and Redleaf School in Mayfair for grade 10. In 1964, she married Dick Semeniuk. After relocations due to Dick's teaching career, they finally settled in Mayfair, SK in 1968. In 1998, they moved to North Battleford where they currently reside. Helen enjoyed gardening and growing flowers, baking, cooking, canning, crocheting, cross-stitching, artex and knitting to name a few. Prayers were held Fri. Dec. 14, 2012 and the Funeral Service on Sat. Dec. 15, 2012 at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of All Saints in North Battleford, SK with Father Vladimir Simunovic administering the funeral; Cantor was Ann Prystupa. Burial took place at St. John the Baptist Church Cemetery near Alticane, SK. Memorial donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Battlefords Union Hospital. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Battlefords Funeral Service. CARD OF THANKS The family wishes to thank Dr. Rodriguez and the staff at Battlefords Union Hospital who helped to make Helen's short stay at the hospital as comfortable as possible. We also wish to thank family and friends who graciously provided gifts of food, flowers and much needed support.
